PP Metrics -Tell how many people needed for non-sales functions
In almost all companies or enterprises, one of the biggest challenges must be to know how many people are needed for their organization and especially for those manual operational functions. However, whatever for automated operation or semi-automations or manual operations, all the functions except for sales functions are standing there across different Procedures which is chained of many Proceeds/precess, we call it PP metrics, PP metrics below is an example which can tell how it works.
The elements are
-PP positions
-PP role skill-setting
-The actual skills of employees which sit in each PP position
-The required time-long for execute the PP, the possible waiting time. cycle period etc.
The PP metrics algorithm will tell what is the reasonable personnel standard that each function of the enterprise should be configured. As shown in the figure above, the maximum number of people is 8, which is the sum of all PP positions. The minimum number of people is 3, which is the sum of all parallel procedures. As for what should be the specific needs for no. of people, we need to work with your company’s team and based on some of the specific data mentioned above, after analyzing and adding algorithms to find dynamic and accurate numbers.

- The rate of people increase in your company over a period of time far exceeds the specified performance or business growth rate.
- When a functional department maintains the same metrics related to the specified business volume, the number of people is increasing.
- When the volume of business is declining, people need to be repositioned.
- When the business volume is on the rise, you want to use the existing staff to achieve the rising target.
